West Ham are eyeing up Burnley and England international shot-stopper Nick Pope for a summer transfer, according to KUMB.
The source claims the Hammers have already made ‘tentative enquiries’ with the Lancashire club over the summer availability of Pope.
The 29-year-old is an experienced replacement for 35-year-old Lukasz Fabianski, who is out of contract in the summer.
After a stellar display against Liverpool in July last season, the Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp hailed Pope as ‘sensational’ for his acrobatic command of his area in just one instance of high praise for the goalkeeper.
Under contract until 2023, the 4-cap England international typically plays a backup role to England no. 1 Jordan Pickford but is increasingly seeing more opportunities in less high-stake fixtures.
It is also noted that goalkeeping youngsters Nathan Trott (22) and Joseph Anang (20) are still considered to be some way off in terms of being at the required standard for the Premier League and will consequentially not see first-team action in Fabianski’s stead.

Home-grown, experienced and with plenty of good ’keeping years ahead of him, Pope could be an ideal asset to David Moyes’ progressive vision for the squad.
Despite KUMB’s claims, Burnley will be under little pressure to sell and would be able to command a worthy fee for his services with two more years of his contract left to run in the summer.
There is also an option of a further year built into his contract that Burnley would surely activate. Regardless, he is a sensible Fabianski replacement.
