West Ham will attempt to sign on loan attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard on a permanent basis according to transfer insider Dean Jones on a recent Touchline Talk Podcast and Hammers fans have got behind the notion.
Having arrived with scepticism having not played for so long, Lingard has been nothing short of a revelation since joining on deadline day and his debut brace against Aston Villa instantly endeared the 28-year-old to the Irons faithful.
Since those debut exploits, Lingard has influenced David Moyes’ side with his well-timed runs into the penalty area, one of which won the penalty for the opening goal against Sheffield United.
Currently on loan until the end of the season, a host of West Ham supporters have pleaded with the club to sign the former England man permanently on Twitter.
