West Ham are prepared to sell Manuel Lanzini this summer should their £15m valuation be met, according to Football Insider.
The Argentine playmaker came in for late interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day, with the Parisian club keen to take the 27-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.
This interest and the Hammers’ subsequent rejection of the approach has brought about questions over the future of the attacking midfielder, who was signed by Slaven Bilic in 2016.
According to Football Insider, the Irons would be willing to listen to offers for Lanzini, who has suffered a diminished influence at the London Stadium. He has netted just once this season, albeit a very memorable one against Tottenham.
Lanzini has been rarely afforded a start this season under David Moyes, with newcomers Said Benrahma and Jesse Lingard usurping the five-cap Argentina international.
Of his 11 Premier League appearances this season, only two have been from the start, and he was substituted on both occasions (Transfermarkt).
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Perhaps the only area of the squad where Moyes is truly blessed is with attacking midfielders.
At the final whistle against Manchester United on Tuesday, the Irons had both Lanzini and Said Benrahma playing in almost identical positions with an ineligible Jesse Lingard waiting in the wings.
Whether PSG return in the summer for Lanzini is up for debate, but with reported interest from the Middle East in January as well, the Argentine shouldn’t be short of suitors and £15m would be a welcome boost to the West Ham coffers.
