West Ham fans react to ‘reluctant’ transfer stance claim

West Ham could delve into the free-agent market in order to solve their striker crisis, according to popular insider ExWHUemployee, and plenty of the Irons faithful have reacted on Twitter.

Ex confirmed on his West Ham Way podcast that the Hammers could be forced to sign a centre-foreward after both Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko suffered injuries in the past week, something the club were ‘reluctant’ to do previously.

The severity of the Ukrainian’s knee problem is not yet known but David Moyes was sceptical in predicting a return.

Teenager Ademipo Odubeko played an hour in Tuesday night’s defeat at Old Trafford but looked short of the level required, leaving the Hammers with a major issue up front.

Having failed to sign a replacement for Sebastien Haller in January and with the transfer market now closed to loan deals, it’s rather slim pickings  for the Irons.

These Hammers fans have passed on their recommendations, with the name of the recently-linked Diego Costa cropping up intermittently, whilst bemoaning the club’s apparent transfer market reluctance…
