West Ham face their biggest challenge yet in their FA Cup run as they take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United tonight.
The Red Devils are currently the Premier League’s highest-scoring team and will hope to continue that prolific ruthlessness in front of goal against the Hammers as they make the trip north to Old Trafford.
With 12 goals scored in their last two games, United will certainly be brimming with confidence – but West Ham will be just as hungry for a cup upset. David Moyes’ side have proven to be tough opponents themselves, having lost just once in their last ten games in all competitions.
The Hammers will be without Jesse Lingard as he is ineligible to face his parent club, but otherwise have the core of their squad fully fit and available (WhoScored).
Moyes appeared to relish the challenge in his pre-match press conference, saying: “I’m looking forward to the Cup game. It’s obviously a tough draw for us and often in the Cup you need to get good draws as well, but to get to the Final you’re going to have to win some big games. We’re up against a pretty much in-form side.”
Despite fears of tired legs, here is Read West Ham’s predicted XI to face Manchester United, with just two changes from Saturday’s line-up against Fulham…
