West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku has been sidelined with injury since early December after undergoing an operation to fix a long-standing knee problem.
During his absence, the Hammers have coped remarkably well despite the 27-year-old playing a pivotal role up until his enforced layoff.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s all-London clash with Fulham, Irons manager David Moyes confirmed that the DR Congo international returned to light training this week and he predicted a return to action in “a month or so”.
Despite an upturn in performances from West Ham in his absence, Masuaku could still have a part to play this season for the Irons as Moyes looks to guide his team to a European place.
These West Ham fans have reacted with glee to the “brilliant news” from the manager regarding the “absolute baller”, as one supporter dubbed Masuaku:

Twitter: @WestHam_Central He’s our option similar to fredericks and coufal if there’s a tricky right winger we can do cress/masuaku (@antcram)
Twitter: @WHUFCFZ Miss big Arthur. He gives us that choice to switch it up against bigger teams and was an absolute baller before injury
