West Ham are viewed as the only viable option for AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko on deadline day, according to a report from AS Roma Live.
The Hammers could still make a late major signing and bring in Dzeko as the club are viewed as the last remaining option for the 34-year-old frontman.
Having been tentatively linked with the two times Premier League winner recently, any move failed to materialise with Dzeko himself believed to be uninterested in a move to east London.
The 112-cap Bosnia international was reportedly being pursued by Serie A giants Juventus, with a move to Turin preferable to the experienced target man.
That possibility hasn’t amounted to anything, leaving the Irons as the last remaining destination as the transfer deadline fast approaches.
Dzeko has scored eight goals in 20 games for Roma this season, adding to his career tally of 338 goals prior to this campaign.

Having previously dismissed the links with Dzeko as non-sensical, the time has come to explore and seriously consider every avenue.
Simply put, it would be next to negligent to leave David Moyes with only Michail Antonio to chose from in terms of frontline strikers.
Not only would that restrict Moyes in terms of changing tactics, but it also puts huge stress on the 30-year-old’s body, something which has to be a concern given his injury history.
A potential late, low-cost swoop for Dzeko at this stage would have to be regarded as a major plus.
