West Ham confirmed the departure of experienced central defender Winston Reid earlier today and there has been an outpouring of love from the Irons faithful.
The 32-year-old centre-back has been out of favour in east London of late and was allowed to join Brentford for the remainder of the season.
Not regarded as part of David Moyes’ plans, Reid will look to continue his comeback from a major injury suffered back in 2018 during his last senior game as a Hammer against Swansea City.
Prior to that ill-fated moment, the Kiwi had been a first-team regular for the Irons, a position he vacated that afternoon and hasn’t returned to since.
These Hammers fans haven’t forgotten the service the New Zealand international has given to the club however and have shared the love on Twitter to hail the outgoing defender…
