West Ham fans have voiced their displeasure on social media as journalist Alex Crook suggests that the Hammers’ business in this transfer window is complete.
Twitter: Had a few people messaging about #WHUFC bringing in a striker. Indication I’ve been given is their transfer window… https://t.co/5DG0fLIGW8 (@alex_crook)
There had been an expectancy that a striker would arrive before the deadline day after the departure of Sebastien Haller to Ajax, despite David Moyes remaining coy on deals.
However, with time running out there has been no sign of an imminent frontman arrival at the London Stadium and the Irons faithful are not pleased.
Should the Hammers fail to sign a striker before the deadline, Moyes would be left with Michail Antonio as the only recognised striker, a perilous position given his frail injury record.
We’ve compiled a pick of the angry reactions…
Twitter: @alex_crook Absolute joke, Antonio only fit striker and his very injury prone! Naive to think he will last the seas… https://t.co/QoNfvMCIet (@FPL_Cockney)
