West Ham could have been handed a welcome boost in their pursuit of a replacement for Sebastien Haller as French football heads steadfast towards crisis, according to So Foot [via Get French Football News].
Having seen a reported bid of £8.9m for Reims striker Boulaye Dia rejected recently, the east London club could revisit the option as finances take a turn for the worse in Ligue 1.
It has been suggested that a third of clubs across the top two divisions in France are ‘weeks away’ from bankruptcy following the collapse of a media rights deal.

David Moyes has confirmed that he is in the market for a centre-forward, casting the net far and wide as the Irons look to find a player to compete with, and indeed supplement, Michail Antonio.
The pursuit could well be boosted by developments from France as clubs will almost certainly be willing to listen to offers for assets with whom they were previously reluctant to part ways.

Dia seemed to be one of the early preferences for Moyes as he looked to find a replacement for Haller. Despite moving on to fresh targets in recent days, the precarious situation in France could be an opportunity for West Ham to land themselves a bargain in the Reims hitman.
With the 24-year-old netting 12 goals in 18 league games so far this term, he is certainly a man in form, and that record suggests he would be the ideal candidate for the Irons to bring in this month.
