West Ham manager David Moyes may have decided upon his favoured centre-forward choice as he looks to fill the void left by Sebastien Haller’s move to Ajax and many the Irons faithful have reacted to the Scotsman’s intended target.
With reports emerging that the Hammers have made an offer for Reims striker Boulaye Dia, there is a growing feeling that Moyes may have identified his man – although the offer may have fallen short of the Ligue 1 club’s €15m (£13.32m) asking price.
The 24-year-old has been sensational this season and is currently level atop the Ligue 1 scoring charts alongside PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
Whilst the West Ham hierarchy of David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady may have to loosen the purse strings a bit more to land the Senegal international, some of the Irons faithful have urged the club’s owners to do just that in order to sign “the next big thing”.
