West Ham have been linked with a loan move for Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho, according to The Sun on Sunday (January 3rd, page 57) [via The Boot Room].
The 30-year-old Frenchman has found himself out of favour at Selhurst Park, making just four Premier League appearances this season.
David Moyes seems to be keen on further strengthening his defensive ranks despite securing the services of Craig Dawson for the duration of the season on loan from Watford.
Dawson had been relatively unseen since arriving at the London Stadium up until last week, when the experienced centre-half made back-to-back starts for the Irons.
Despite Moyes’ continued pursuit of defensive reinforcements, many West Ham supporters weren’t enthused by the club’s links with Sakho, a veteran of 364 club career games, 128 of which have been in the Premier League.
