West Ham may have been informed of the figure they’ll need to stump up to sign Amadou Diawara from AS Roma in January.
The Hammers, alongside fellow Premier League side Leicester City, have been linked with a move for the Guinean, who could be set to leave Italy in the near future.
Diawara’s future in the Italian capital has been under the microscope for some time and Calciomercato recently claimed the Serie A side had already earmarked Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez as a replacement.
LaRoma24 have now revealed that the Giallorossi could sell the 23-year-old for a fee of €18m (£16.5m).
Previously fancied by both Chelsea and Arsenal after enjoying an influential 2019/20 campaign, Diawara has seen his playing time diminish this season, making just four appearances and earning an average Sofascore rating of 6.63 – lower than both Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Central midfield is one of the areas highlighted most in need of reinforcements in the West Ham squad as the January transfer window fast approaches.
At 23 and with 109 Serie A appearances already under his belt, Diawara would indicate great value for money at the reported asking price.
David Moyes has had one eye on the future of his side in recent times and, as he slowly phases out Mark Noble’s on-field involvement, signing a youngster with an abundance of promise would make a lot of sense.
