According to West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, David Moyes is believed to be casting an eye over Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong as a potential option for a January transfer.
Armstrong has made a sublime start to this season, with 12 goals in as many Championship games, leading to plenty of attention from a host of Premier League clubs – including the Hammers, who will almost certainly be in the market for a striker when the window reopens.
ExWHUemployee told his West Ham Way podcast that the former Newcastle United striker was ‘someone we like’ as the rumour mill starts to get into full swing.
Whilst the 23-year-old may have been priced out of a move to most clubs in the summer as Blackburn demand £30m, these Irons fans aren’t going to let that stop them getting carried away. Indeed, one referred to him as ‘the English Werner’ in a reference to the £45m Chelsea striker who has hit eight goals in 14 games so far for the Blues.
