West Ham have been sensationally credited with an interest in signing Real Madrid striking duo Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic in January.
The report comes from Spanish outlet DefensaCentral and claims the pair have ‘no chances at Real Madrid’ and have been ‘totally abandoned by Zinedine Zidane who doesn’t trust them’.
Between them, Diaz and Jovic have only made six appearances across all competitions this season, leading to speculation over their futures in the Spanish capital.
This isn’t the first time the Hammers have been linked with a move for Jovic, a player for whom Real Madrid paid £52.4m only last year. However, it now seems the Serbian wants to find a way out given his lack of match opportunities at the Bernabeu.
Diaz is a 27-year-old Dominican Republic international striker who has a value of £10.8m according to Transfermarkt, whilst Jovic is valued at £22.5m and may only be available on a loan move in January.

It’s highly plausible that David Moyes would be seeking a new striker for his squad at the next possible juncture with Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller currently his only senior centre-forward options.
The Hammers’ leading scorer Antonio has been out injured recently, leaving only Haller available to Moyes, highlighting the lack of depth in the centre-forward department.
Despite Jovic’s time at the Bernabeu not turning out as hoped, the Serbian, who played alongside Haller during their time together at Eintracht Frankfurt, has a proven track record of scoring goals and would be a no-brainer target if he becomes available.
