West Ham are looking to pip both Chelsea and Tottenham to AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek by launching a late offer for the striker.
That’s according to Football Insider, who claim that the Hammers have made a loan offer for the 24-year-old, which would then turn into a £30 million permanent deal in the summer.
However, the report adds that both Chelsea and Spurs are currently edging West Ham in the race for the striker, who looks set to leave AC Milan before the end of the month.
Piatek has scored 26 Serie A goals over the last 18 months for both Milan and Genoa and looks set to be a busy man over the coming days as he reportedly looks to seal a move to England.

A recent report from Goal claimed that Piatek wanted to move to London with Tottenham before the end of the month, so at this stage, a possible move to West Ham seems unlikely to us.
However, if the Hammers somehow manage to secure the Pole’s services, it could prove to be a shrewd signing in our eyes.
His 26 top-flight league goals over the last 18 months are more than club-record signing Sebastien Haller, who has a combined 21 league goals for both Frankfurt and the Hammers.
In our opinion, there’s too much pressure on the Frenchman to be the main man at the London Stadium, so adding Piatek to David Moyes’ attacking ranks, we feel, would release some pressure on Haller’s shoulders.
Whether or not a deal will be done remains to be seen, but a new striker seems like it is needed before the end of the month, and failing to add one could, in our view, place the Hammers in real trouble.
