Brentford and QPR join chase to land Jordan Hugill

Championship sides Brentford and QPR have joined the race to land West Ham outcast Jordan Hugill this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Brentford and QPR are just two of several clubs believed to be interested in signing the centre-forward in the coming weeks.

The report claims that Wigan had agreed a fee with West Ham, but the move eventually fell through – opening the door for other clubs to swoop in and snap up the former Preston man.

Hugill spent the 2018/19 season on loan to Championship side Middlesbrough, but was only able to score six goals for Tony Pulis’ team as they missed out on a top six finish.

The striker joined West Ham from Preston in January 2018 for a fee reported to be in the region of £10m, although he has only featured for the Hammers in the Premier League for a total of 35 minutes during his time at the club.
