Torino are ready to rival West Ham United in the race to sign Maxime Gonalons from AS Roma this summer.
According to claims from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Walter Mazzarri’s side have entered the hunt to land the experienced Frenchman, who looks set to be on the move ahead of next season.
Gonalons has failed to make the desired impact at Roma, and last term, this saw him sent out to Sevilla on a loan deal.

The holding midfielder impressed on occasion in Spain but has not convinced the La Liga club of his qualities, and it seems another move will be on the cards for him this summer.
West Ham had been touted as a potential destination for Gonalons, but claims from Calciomercato indicate that Torino are now in a strong position to recruit him.
The Serie A outfit are understood to be chasing a loan deal with a view to a permanent move, meaning the Hammers may be forced to look elsewhere for possible midfield signings.
