The Hammers had been linked with a move to sign the Slovakia international, as a double deal involving Celta’s Maxi Gomez had reportedly been on the cards.

However, as per Steinberg’s information, West Ham have turned their focus to more attacking midfield targets, with Villarreal playmaker Pablo Fornals at the top of their list.
Lobotka was not as influential as he had been in previous seasons for Celta last term, but he appeared to have emerged as one of the Hammers’ primary transfer targets.
However, it seems that Manuel Pellegrini is not necessarily focused on recruiting the diminutive midfielder, who could yet secure a move elsewhere with his future in Spain currently under scrutiny.
