Reports over the last few weeks have suggested Everton manager Marco Silva may be interested in taking West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell to Goodison Park this summer.
The Toffees are on the look-out for a new left-sided fullback as 34-year-old defender Leighton Baines could be on his way out of the Merseyside club with his contract set to expire at the end of next month.
Cresswell, who was born in Liverpool, is one of the names who has been linked with replacing Baines in the Everton squad, providing competition to Lucas Digne, who was one of the league’s form players in that position last season.
Should West Ham’s number three make the move north, Manuel Pellegrini will be left with a gap to fill in his squad ahead of the new season.
Here, we take a look at five players West Ham could choose to target if they are forced to dip into the transfer market for a new left-back.
