West Ham United and Arsenal have reportedly had bids for Lorient attacker Alexis Claude-Maurice turned down, with the latter club expected to go in for a second offer.

Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer with Marko Arnautovic’s future still in doubt and Celta Vigo frontman Maxi Gomez considered as a priority.

According to reputable Twitter account @EuroUnited6, the 20-year-old is thought to have also attracted interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Monaco.

The highest offer the Ligue 1 received is reported to be in the region of £6million and with Arsenal likely to go back in for the promising talent, West Ham’s stance is unknown.

Claude-Maurice – primarily featuring in attacking midfield – has notched 14 goals and four assists for Lorient this season and could be joining former team-mate Matteo Guendouzi at the Emirates Stadium.

It’s very clear the Hammers are on the search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2019-20 campaign though, so this could be one to keep an eye on.
