Newcastle United have regularly scouted West Ham target Duvan Zapata for Atalanta this season.
According to a report from Chronicle Live, the Colombian forward has emerged as a possible summer target for the Magpies, who may be keen to add to their attacking options this summer.
Zapata has been in fine form this term and leads the way as Atalanta’s top goalscorer, with 17 strikes to his name in Serie A during his loan spell from Sampdoria.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are expected to activate their option to buy clause this summer before then offloading the front-man for a significant profit, with a host of clubs understood to be in the race for his signature.
Zapata is wanted by Inter Milan and Roma, according to Chronicle Live, and West Ham, who have been perennially linked, are listed as an interested party.
Reports have indicated that Atalanta will demand a fee worth €45 million for the 27-year-old during the transfer window, as his stock continues to rise.
