West Ham will face competition from ‘several’ Premier League clubs if they are to pursue a deal for Duvan Zapata in the summer, according to Calciomercato.
The Hammers reportedly saw a bid worth €40 million for the striker rejected by Atalanta during the January transfer window, but are suggested to be readying a fresh pursuit for the player ahead of next season.
Colombian international Zapata has been excellent for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team this term and has found the back of the net on 16 occasions in Serie A.

This form, according to claims from Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, has earned him plenty of admirers, including many from the Premier League.
Inter Milan are also stated to have been impressed by Zapata’s form for Atalanta, with Mauro Icardi’s future at San Siro currently uncertain.
The 27-year-old is set to be hot property this summer, and it seems West Ham will have to fend off competition from their top-flight counterparts if they are to land the attacker.
