Marko Arnautovic left Molineux on crutches on Tuesday night, following West Ham’s 3-0 defeat away to Wolves.
The Austrian picked up a foot injury with 18 minutes remaining after a tackle by Ruben Neves, leaving the field in pain shortly after.
It was Arnautovic’s first appearance for the Hammers since January 12th, having signed a contract extension at the weekend.
It is a bitter blow for the player, who was no doubt ready to thrive again after committing his future to West Ham.

The 29-year-old has been the subject of constant speculation this month, with a move to China mooted.
Manuel Pellegrini has hinted that Arnautovic could leave in the summer, though, and he looks set to miss a chunk of action between now and May.
West Ham were comprehensively outplayed by Wolves, as they dropped to 11th in the Premier League table.
Life doesn’t get any easier for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, who host leaders Liverpool next Monday.
