Manuel Pellegrini refusing to sell Marko Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic’s move to China looks in jeopardy as Manuel Pellegrini is refusing to sell the Austrian, according to The Mirror.

Arnautovic was the subject of a £35m move from an unnamed Chinese side, who have said they will not return with another bid.

The offer had cast West Ham’s top scorer’s future in doubt, but Pellegrini has insisted he will not leave. He said:

I have the final say. If I say the player must stay, then he will stay.

The 27-year-old will also miss the Premier League game against Bournemouth this weekend, due to him ‘not being in the right frame of mind’.

Arnautovic has scored eight goals in 18 appearances for the Hammers so far this season, and has been a key part of Pellegrini’s plans.

Since his arrival from Stoke City in 2017, the striker has scored 19 goals in 53 appearances for the London club.
