Arnautovic limps off in Cardiff clash

West Ham have been left to sweat over the condition of Marko Arnautovic after the forward limped off in their clash against Cardiff City.

The Austrian international has been dealing with minor knocks throughout the season but was passed fit to take on the Bluebirds, with Manuel Pellegrini calling on his star man to provide the team with attacking quality.

However, Arnautovic’s evening was brought to an abrupt halt just six minutes before half-time as he was forced off with an injury.

The experienced forward was visibly clutching his hamstring and looked to be in a state of discomfort as he was helped off the London Stadium pitch to a warm applause from the West Ham faithful.

Pellegrini replaced Arnautovic was Lucas Perez, who has not featured on a regular basis since his arrival from Arsenal in the summer.

The Hammers will be desperately hoping that the extent of the hamstring problem that their front-man has sustained is not severe.

matchday.
