Josh Cullen dislocates his shoulder playing for Charlton
West Ham United’s on-loan midfielder Josh Cullen is facing a spell on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder whilst playing for Charlton, according to a report on Football London.
The youngster was sent on loan to the League One side by Manuel Pellegrini to gain some valuable first team experience.
Cullen made five appearances for the Hammers under David Moyes last season and impressed during pre-season under Pellegrini and had hoped to be part of his first-team plans this season.
However, with Pellegrini strengthening his squad with new signings, Cullen’s chances of breaking into the team were slim.
Cullen has played well for Charlton this season as they look to push for promotion, but they will have to be without for at least a few games after he picked up the injury in the 2-0 win over Walsall.
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer said:
Josh Cullen dislocated his shoulder, it’s just unreal. Today we get two dislocated shoulders, it’s just not normal.
