West Ham interested in January deal to sign Wanyama

West Ham are said to be interested in a January deal to sign Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama.

According to Football Insider, West Ham are looking to ‘take advantage’ of the player’s situation at Tottenham.

Wanyama has fallen out of favour at Spurs this season and has found game time hard to come by.

The report claims that the Hammers are keen to strengthen in midfield during the January window and have Wanyama in their sights.

Wanyama is yet to start a game in the Premier League for Spurs this season, the midfielder has been limited to five appearances off the bench.

Tottenham will be keen to not lose a player to a London rival in the new year, but Wanyama may be keen to get back playing regularly, something that the Hammers would certainly be able to offer.

Wanyama joined Spurs back in 2016 but has been troubled by injuries in recent years.
