Manchester United enter the race to sign Diop

Manchester United are expected to rival Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign West Ham defender Issa Diop.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho’s men are interested in signing the Frenchman.

Diop joined West Ham over the summer and has impressed during his short time in the Premier League.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a big-money offer for the player, with Diop valued at around £50 million.

Diop was very highly rated during his time in France and he has taken that form into the Premier League since arriving at West Ham.

Should the defender continue in this vein of form, the Hammers are likely to face a fight to keep hold of the player going forward.

United have been in the market for a new central defender after failing to sign one during the summer transfer window and Diop could be the man they turn to.
