Brighton’s Murray wary of Arnautovic threat

Brighton and Hove Albion striker Glenn Murray has warned his defensive players to be wary of the threat posed by West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian has been in fine form so far this season and managed to find the back of the net as the Hammers defeated Manchester United 3-1 at the London Stadium last weekend.

Arnautovic is a nuisance for any defender and Murray wants Brighton’s defenders to keep a close eye on him during their encounter on Friday night.

As reported on 90Min, the forward said:

He’s a fantastic player and he’s shown that at West Ham. He almost carried the team at stages last year and he showed what a top quality player he is. He’s set off again in the same vein of form that he ended last season. He is the danger man and we’ve got to try to keep a lid on him.

Arnautovic has scored four times in six league appearances this season and is quickly becoming one of the league’s best forwards.

His link-up play with the wingers and midfielders behind him is admirable Murray knows that if the Seagulls keep him quiet, then they have a great chance of getting a positive result.
