Oxford United boss praises Marcus Browne

Oxford United boss Karl Robinson has praised Marcus Browne and branded him the best player in the league after he joined the club on a season-long loan from West Ham United, HITC reports.

The attacking midfielder secured the move to Oxford this summer transfer window and will hope for regular game time throughout the season.

Having caught the eye in Oxford’s 1-1 draw away at Sunderland at the weekend, Robinson explained why he believes Browne to be the best player in League One at present.

Marcus Browne just showed everybody why he’s the best player in this league. This is the best team in the league and that shows you what they think of our No 10.

The creative 20-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Hammers but a good season with Oxford could go a long way in seeing him given a chance in the first-team at the London Stadium.
