West Ham keen to send Reece Oxford out on loan

West Ham United are keen to send youngster Reece Oxford out on a season-long loan deal, the Daily Mail reports.

The highly-rated 19-year-old spent the entirety of last season out on loan at Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach but is now back with the West Ham squad.

Oxford enjoyed his spell in Germany and West Ham are now hoping to secure another loan for the teenager.

New Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini had previously expressed his desire to keep Oxford this season and integrate him into the squad, but the club now believe that the youngster – who can play at centre-back or in midfield – needs to be playing regular first team football to help him develop.

Oxford was promoted from West Ham’s academy back in 2015 and has 17 first-team appearances to his name.

Several clubs in Germany, Spain and France are all believed to be interested in taking Oxford on loan for the season.
