Fiorentina’s Carlos Sanchez is set to join Premier League side West Ham United, according to Football Italia.
Football Italia report that local Florence newspaper Corriere Fiorentino are stating that Sanchez is close to agreeing to join the Hammers.
With the transfer window slamming shut at 5pm tomorrow, the Hammers will have to move quickly if they are to get this deal over the line.
The 32-year-old Colombian international has previous experience of playing int he Premier League after a two-year stint at Aston Villa, however Sanchez was part of the Villa side that suffered relegation from England’s top flight in 2016.
Following their relegation, the midfielder was sent out on loan to Fiorentina, who a year later completed the signing of Sanchez on a permanent deal.
However, the Colombian was surplus to requirements under Coach Stefano Pioli last season, with the Serie A side opting to send the midfielder out on loan to Spanish side Espanyol for the second half of the season.
