West Ham make €22m Vida bid
West Ham are reportedly set to rival Everton and Liverpool in the race to sign Domagoj Vida from Besiktas.
Reports in Turkey from Sabah, as cited on Sport Witness, claim that the Hammers have submitted a €22 million offer for the Croatian defender.
Vida is a man in demand following his performances in Russia at the World Cup.
Both Everton and Liverpool have reportedly already failed with opening offers as Besiktas hold out for their full asking price.
The Turkish side have been hoping that his performances could see them earn closer to €35 million, with interest mounting in the defender.
Alongside Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren, Vida played a key role in helping Croatia reach the final, where they were ultimately beaten by France.
Vida has been heavily linked with a move away from Besiktas following his performances in Russia.
West Ham have already strengthened defensively throughout the transfer window with moves for Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Fabian Balbuena.
