West Ham reportedly hold the strongest interest in signing Sturaro

West Ham are reportedly the most interested club in the race to sign Stefano Sturaro from Juventus this summer.

The Serie A champions are looking all but set to allow their midfielder to leave the club ahead of next season, and a whole host of clubs from the Premier League have been linked.

West Ham have been tentatively outlined as one of several potential suitors for Sturaro, with indications often made that Newcastle United are in fact the leading club in the race for his signature.

However according to fresh claims from Italian news outlet Tuttosport, as reported by Calciomercato, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are expressing the strongest interest in recruiting the player this summer.

Sturaro was used only sparingly by Juventus boss Max Allegri last season, and following the arrival of Emre Can from Liverpool on a free transfer, it’s expected that he will be sold.

Although West Ham are understood to have not made a bid for the player just yet, it seems the Italian media are convinced that the Hammers do indeed want to sign Sturaro.
