West Ham are interested in signing Croatian centre back Domagoj Vida, according to Turkish site Fanatik.

Signing for Besiktas in January from Dynamo Kiev, Vida made only seven starts in the Super Lig for his new club.

It now seems as though the Turkish outfit will have an opportunity to offload the defender at the earliest opportunity, should they wish to.

Strong performances in Croatia’s first two World Cup matches have seen Vida and the Croat defences record two clean sheets, against Nigeria and Argentina.

The 29-year-old has reportedly been the subject of a £11.5 million bid from a Premier League club, with the suitors allegedly West Ham or Everton.

Besiktas will reportedly review the offer following the conclusion of the World Cup.

Spending four years at Dynamo Kiev, Vida made over 100 appearances for the Ukrainian club before completing his switch to Turkey.

With 61 Croatian caps to his name, the centre-half has a serious international pedigree to his name.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini could welcome Vida to the London Stadium to join new signing Issa Diop in the heart of the back-line.
