Leicester set to beat West Ham to Lukaku signature
Leicester City now reportedly lead the race to sign Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku, who was said to be a target for West Ham.
According to reports in Italy, as cited on the Leicester Mercury, the Foxes are now looking like the most likely outfit to pick up the Belgian this summer.
II Tempo claims that the player is keen on the idea of playing in England, with a move away from Lazio now looking increasingly likely.
Game time was hard to come by for Lukaku last season with Senad Lulic holding down the first-choice left-back slot.
Despite making 30 appearances in Serie A last season, only 10 of those were starts.
West Ham had been linked with a move for the player as a possible alternative to either Aaron Cresswell or Arthur Masuaku.
Meanwhile, Claude Puel could be in the market for a new left-back after it was confirmed that Christian Fuchs would leave the club at the end of next season.
