West Ham want Lukasz Fabianski deal done before the World Cup

West Ham United hope to announce the signing of Lukasz Fabianski before the World Cup kicks off.

The Mirror reports that the aim is for the deal to sign the Swansea shot-stopper to be done before Poland’s first game against Senegal next Tuesday.

Fabianski has been widely expected to leave Swansea following their relegation to the Championship.

West Ham feared that Fabianski could attract more interest should he go on to impress at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The goalkeeper position has been one of the key areas of improvement for West Ham after David Moyes rotated between Joe Hart and Adrian last season.

West Ham are also hoping to step up their interest in Alfie Mawson, who has been a target for the Hammers in recent months.

The club also hope to land Mawson following the Swans’ relegation with Manuel Pellegrini looking to re-shape the defensive at the London Stadium.
