West Ham will reportedly have to compete against Galatasary to secure the services of Stoke midfielder Joe Allen next season.
The Welshman was relegated with the Potters last season, and is reportedly seeking a move to continue playing top-flight football.
The Hammers had been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, but now will allegedly have to hope the former Liverpool man spurns the chance of Champions League football in favour of a transfer to the London Stadium.
Stoke will hope to hold onto their industrious ball-winner for the upcoming season, as Allen promises to be one of the more capable players in the Championship next season.
Making 38 appearances in the red and white shirt last year, few could argue Allen wasn’t a critical member of Stoke’s first XI.
New manager Gary Rowett will currently be evaluating the members of the squad, and will presumably come to his own conclusion as to whether Allen is required at the bet365 stadium in the 2018/19 campaign.
If he is deemed replaceable by the ex-Derby boss, the fresh Irons manager Manuel Pellegrini could be poised to benefit from the decision.
