West Ham linked with a move for Armando Izzo

West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Genoa central defender Armando Izzo this summer.

It’s claimed by Sky Sports News that the Hammers are keen to strengthen their defensive options with the addition of Izzo, who enjoyed a strong season in Italy recently.

The 26-year-old made 16 starts in Serie A last season and it seems his displays have piqued the interest of West Ham, with Manuel Pellegrini keen to add quality to his side ahead of next season.

Talks are ongoing with Genoa over the deal to bring Izzo to the London Stadium if Sky Sports are to be believed, with Pellegrini seemingly looking to land the defender in an efficient fashion.

Izzo came through the ranks at Napoli and could be set for his first ever ventures into English football, as West Ham progress in their pursuit.
