West Ham goalkeeper Adrian has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Atletico Madrid.
According to a report from AS, as cited by Sport Witness, Adrian is being considered by the La Liga giants as they seek a back-up to Jan Oblak.
Axel Werner, the club’s current number two, is reportedly set to leave the club on loan in a bid to find regular game time, meaning Atletico will be in need of a new shot-stopper.
The report claims that Diego Simeone’s men want to sign an experienced goalkeeper.
With just one year remaining on his contract, the Hammers could look to cash in now to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.
Vicente Guaita remains a target for the La Liga side, but he is being heavily linked with a move to West Ham’s Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
Claudio Bravo is also thought to be an option for Atletico with his long-term future appearing to be away from Manchester City.
