West Ham set to make bid for Patrick Roberts
West Ham United and Leicester City will make moves to sign Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts after the Scottish Cup Final.
Both clubs will look to sign the winger when his loan deal expires at Celtic. and they are prepared to pay the £15m that Man City reportedly want for the England youth international.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers hasn’t completely ruled out trying to get Roberts back on loan but he has admitted that this may be unlikely with a lot of interest from English clubs.
Roberts, 21, has had two loan spells and will say goodbye to Celtic after Saturday’s final against Motherwell at Hampden.
Rodgers’ side are just one in away from clinching a second successive clean sweep of domestic trophies, this feat has never been achieved before in Scottish football.
Roberts has made it clear that he believes he is good enough to play in the Premier League and West Ham will look to sign the winger as they look to build for next season.
