West Ham under pressure to sign Joao Mario
West Ham United are reportedly being put under pressure to sign Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario, with the club’s fans keen to see him remain at the London Stadium.
Sport Witness have suggested that the Hammers will discuss a potential deal with Mario’s parent club, Inter Milan, but the Italian giants want as close to £30m as possible.
I Nerazzurri are hoping that the Euro 2016 winner has a good World Cup so they can get as much money as they can for the player.
Mario has made 14 appearances for the East London side this season, scoring on two occasions, and becoming seemingly popular amongst supporters. but now the season has ended, and with the 25-year-old due to return to the San Siro, it is apparent that the West Ham board are being out under pressure to tie Mario down on a permanent basis, and keep him as a key part of their squad.
