Carlo Ancelotti turns down Hammers job

Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly turned down the West Ham job, according to Football Italia.

The Italian manager has declined amidst rumours a move to Napoli may be on the cards.

David Moyes’ future at the club is unclear and it looks like they will be replacing him this summer rather than extending his deal, with Ancelotti approached to replace the Scotsman.

Offering the job to Ancelotti was an ambitious decision for the Hammers, but perhaps a move reflective of the kind of ambition the ownership have continually talked about.

The 58-year-old has a great CV with PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich his most recent clubs.

He is now looking for a return to his homeland, possibly in the hope that he is offered the Napoli job, as Maurizio Sarri is expected to leave this summer.

For West Ham, their search continues for someone to guide them into the top half of the Premier League again.

They are expected to approach Paulo Fonseca who has just won the double with Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.
