Moyes set to receive safety bonus

David Moyes is set to receive a bumper bonus after narrowly guiding West Ham to Premier League survival.

West Ham site, Claret & Hugh, have said that when the Scot took on the managerial role at the club his only goal was to keep them in the Premier League and that if he did so, he would receive a huge bonus.

The amount of money that Moyes shall receive as a bonus is believed to be somewhere in the region of £1.25m and £2.1m.

Moyes took over at West Ham following Slaven Bilic’s sacking back in November, with the Hammers sat 18th in the league at the time.

Having kept the Hammers up, Moyes is set to begin talks with the club over a deal for him to stay on as manager and begin plans for next season.
