Inter Milan name their price for on-loan West Ham star Joao Mario

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to sell Joao Mario at the end of the season, with the midfielder currently out on loan to West Ham.

The Portugal international joined Inter for a huge fee after impressing with Sporting CP in his homeland. However, he failed to hit the heights that were expected of him and this saw Mario join West Ham temporarily in January.

Since then, he has had mixed fortunes in English football, struggling for consistency but showing glimmers of quality.

Despite this, Inter are willing to sell Mario permanently to potential suitors this summer and according to Calciomercato journalist Fabrizio Romano, they will demand a fee worth €28 million for his services.

The 25-year-old remains a highly-rated player and the asking price is significantly lower than the €40m that Inter spent on him back in 2016.

However, it’s stated by Calciomercato that West Ham are continuing to ponder a permanent swoop for Mario as they feel as though he is not worth the quoted €28m.
