Carroll set for return to action
West Ham striker Andy Carroll has returned to fitness ahead of the club’s final run of games.
According to The Mirror, Carroll is back in training and ready to take his place on the bench next Monday when West Ham face Stoke in the Premier League.
The report claims that West Ham feared he would be out for the rest of the season after he sustained an injury in January.
However, he has recovered ahead of schedule to play a part in West Ham’s final six Premier League games of the season.
The Hammers are not yet safe from relegation, but look to be on the right path after beating Southampton 3-0 and drawing 1-1 with Chelsea in their last two matches.
Carroll has struggled with injury throughout his career at West Ham and will be hoping he can get through the next six games unscathed.
The 29-year-old’s last goal came against West Brom earlier this season.
