Robert Snodgrass was an inevitable disappointment in his first half a season at West Ham, but it seems he is being handed a lifeline by the club ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
According to a report from the Birmingham Mail, the Scotsman will not be putting pen to paper on a permanent deal at Aston Villa, with David Moyes keen to give him a second chance to impress at the London Stadium.
Snodgrass has been enjoying a reasonably successful loan spell with Steve Bruce’s Villa side this season and following the emergence of his frosty relationship with the hierarchy at West Ham, his future appeared to be unlikely.
However, with the former Hull winger showing signs of quality during his stint at Villa Park, it’s stated that Snodgrass could yet be given another opportunity to shine in a West Ham shirt.
The Hammers paid £7m to sign the 30-year-old at the start of last year but he has failed to convince at West Ham.
