The midfielder is being targeted by the Hammers this month and is understood to be keen on making the move to the London Stadium. However, Fulham want to keep one of their key men and Cairney is claimed to be accepting of the club’s position.
Cairney has been an impressive performer for Fulham over the course of the last 18 months and is establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
West Ham want to strengthen their midfield options further following the loan signing of Joao Mario from Inter Milan.
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is desperate for Cairney to stay and is not willing to part company with the midfielder, who has also been targeted by West Brom in the January transfer window.
