Chicharito willing to move from West Ham says agent
West Ham fans finally thought this summer that their striker woes would be over with the arrival of Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen for £16m.
However, Chicharito hasn’t lived up to the expectations placed on him to deliver at the Hammers. Having only scored five goals in 21 appearances, it is believed David Moyes may wish to sell the Mexican to fund January acquisitions.
According to Sky Sports, with West Ham willing to listen to offers for Hernandez, the 29-year-old is also open to moving away from the London Stadium.
With West Ham being dealt fresh injuries worries for Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic, Hernandez may be given another chance to impress, given the striker has only started once in the Premier League under Moyes.
Having scored the equaliser in the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, Chicharito will hope to have a made a statement to the club that he is capable of finishing, given the opportunity.
His agent Eduardo Hernandez has said:
There is a number of clubs interested in his services. Our primary focus is to find a club which Chicharito can play the most games possible.
Whether a deal will materialise to see Hernandez leave isn’t a certainty but with Chicharito in the summer being dubbed “one of the signings of the season”, it seems the Mexican has to start improving at West Ham.
